Connections

Connect your external accounts to TrucklineMP for identity verification, account recovery, and profile integration.

Accessing Connections Settings

Section titled “Accessing Connections Settings”
  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select the Connections tab
  4. Or navigate to trucklinemp.com/user/me/settings?tab=connections

Available Connections

Steam

Section titled “Steam”

Your Steam account is permanently linked and cannot be disconnected.

  • Purpose: Primary identity verification
  • Status: Shows as “Connected” or “Not connected”
  • Steam ID: Displayed when connected

This connection is required and cannot be changed.

Discord

Section titled “Discord”

Link your Discord account for identity verification and account recovery.

Connecting

Section titled “Connecting”
  1. Click Connect next to Discord
  2. You’ll be redirected to Discord’s authorization page
  3. Authorize TrucklineMP to access your account
  4. You’ll be returned to TrucklineMP
  5. Your Discord username is displayed

Disconnecting

Section titled “Disconnecting”
  1. Click Disconnect next to Discord
  2. The connection is immediately removed

What’s Displayed

Section titled “What’s Displayed”
  • Your Discord username is shown when connected
  • Used for identity verification and account recovery

Google

Section titled “Google”

Link your Google account for easier sign-in and account recovery.

Connecting

Section titled “Connecting”
  1. Click Connect next to Google
  2. You’ll be redirected to Google’s authorization page
  3. Select your Google account
  4. Authorize TrucklineMP
  5. You’ll be returned to TrucklineMP

Disconnecting

Section titled “Disconnecting”
  1. Click Disconnect next to Google
  2. The connection is immediately removed

What’s Displayed

Section titled “What’s Displayed”
  • Shows as “Connected” or “Not connected”
  • Used for account recovery and sign-in

YouTube

Section titled “YouTube”

Link your YouTube channel and control whether it’s shown on your profile.

Connecting

Section titled “Connecting”
  1. Click Connect next to YouTube
  2. You’ll be redirected to Google’s authorization page
  3. Select the Google account with your YouTube channel
  4. Authorize TrucklineMP
  5. Your channel name is displayed

Disconnecting

Section titled “Disconnecting”
  1. Click Disconnect next to YouTube
  2. The connection is immediately removed

Visibility Toggle

Section titled “Visibility Toggle”

When connected, a toggle appears:

  • Show on public profile - Your YouTube channel is visible to other users
  • Hide from public profile - Only you can see the connection

Toggle changes are saved automatically.

Twitch

Section titled “Twitch”

Link your Twitch account and control whether it’s shown on your profile.

Connecting

Section titled “Connecting”
  1. Click Connect next to Twitch
  2. You’ll be redirected to Twitch’s authorization page
  3. Authorize TrucklineMP
  4. Your Twitch username is displayed

Disconnecting

Section titled “Disconnecting”
  1. Click Disconnect next to Twitch
  2. The connection is immediately removed

Visibility Toggle

Section titled “Visibility Toggle”

When connected, a toggle appears:

  • Show on public profile - Your Twitch channel is visible to other users
  • Hide from public profile - Only you can see the connection

Toggle changes are saved automatically.

Patreon

Section titled “Patreon”

Patreon linking is available when the platform has it enabled. When it is not enabled, the connection card shows Coming soon and cannot be used to connect an account. When enabled, it supports a visibility toggle like YouTube and Twitch, and your supporter tier is detected automatically.

Connection Status Indicators

Success

Section titled “Success”
  • After connecting, you’ll see a success notification
  • The service status updates to show your username
  • You may be redirected back with ?status=success in the URL

Failure

Section titled “Failure”
  • If a connection fails, you’ll see an error notification
  • Try again or contact support if the issue persists

Best Practices

Account Recovery

Section titled “Account Recovery”
  • Link at least two external accounts (Google + one other)
  • This ensures you can recover your account if you lose access

Privacy

Section titled “Privacy”
  • Review visibility toggles for YouTube and Twitch
  • Hide channels you don’t want public
  • Disconnect unused services

Security

Section titled “Security”
  • Only connect accounts you own
  • Keep connected accounts secure
  • Disconnect from services you no longer use

Troubleshooting

”The connection failed”

Section titled “”The connection failed””
  • Ensure you’re signed into the correct account
  • Check that you authorized TrucklineMP
  • Try again or clear your browser cookies

”I can’t disconnect”

Section titled “”I can’t disconnect””
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Contact support if the issue persists

”My channel name isn’t showing”

Section titled “”My channel name isn’t showing””
  • Refresh the page
  • Check that the connection is successful
  • Reconnect if necessary

”The visibility toggle isn’t working”

Section titled “”The visibility toggle isn’t working””
  • Ensure you’re connected to the service
  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Contact support if the issue persists
