Profile Settings

Manage how others see you on TrucklineMP. Your profile is your public identity across the platform.

Accessing Profile Settings

Section titled “Accessing Profile Settings”
  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select the Profile tab
  4. Or navigate to trucklinemp.com/user/me/settings?tab=profile

Display Name

Section titled “Display Name”

Your public display name visible to all users.

  • Length: 2–32 characters
  • Cooldown: Can be changed once every day
  • Visibility: Shown on your profile, in VTCs, events, forums, and news feeds

Tips

Section titled “Tips”
  • Choose a name that’s easy to recognize
  • Avoid special characters that are hard to type
  • Keep it consistent across platforms

Social Handle

Section titled “Social Handle”

Your unique handle for your profile URL.

  • URL: trucklinemp.com/@yourhandle
  • Length: 2–15 characters
  • Allowed: Lowercase letters, numbers, underscores only
  • Cooldown: Can be changed once every 30 days

Tips

Section titled “Tips”
  • Keep it short and memorable
  • Match it to your other social media handles
  • Avoid numbers that may look like spam

Profile Picture

Section titled “Profile Picture”

Your avatar displayed throughout the platform.

Upload Picture

Section titled “Upload Picture”
  1. Click Upload picture
  2. Select an image file (JPEG, PNG, or WebP)
  3. Maximum file size: 5 MB
  4. The image is uploaded and applied immediately

Sync from Steam

Section titled “Sync from Steam”
  1. Click Sync from Steam
  2. Your profile picture is refreshed from your Steam account
  3. This pulls your current Steam avatar

Tips

Section titled “Tips”
  • Use a clear, recognizable image
  • Square images work best
  • Avoid busy backgrounds
  • Make sure your face or logo is visible at small sizes
Section titled “Social Links”

Add links to your social media profiles. These appear on your public profile.

TikTok

Section titled “TikTok”
  • Enter your full TikTok profile URL
  • Example: https://www.tiktok.com/@yourname
  • Must be a valid TikTok URL

World of Trucks

Section titled “World of Trucks”
  • Enter your World of Trucks profile URL
  • Example: https://worldoftrucks.com/en/profile/...
  • Must be a valid World of Trucks URL

Twitter / X

Section titled “Twitter / X”
  • Enter your Twitter or X profile URL
  • Example: https://twitter.com/yourhandle or https://x.com/yourhandle
  • Must be a valid Twitter/X URL

Medal

Section titled “Medal”
  • Enter your Medal profile URL
  • Example: https://medal.tv/u/yourname
  • Must be a valid Medal URL

URL Validation

Section titled “URL Validation”
  • All links must start with https://
  • Links are validated against the correct domain
  • Invalid URLs will show an error message
  • If you enter a URL without https://, it will be added automatically

Live Preview & Saving Changes

As you make changes to your profile settings, a live Discord-style card preview of your public header (including avatar, display name, handle, role tags, and bio) renders on the right side of the screen. This allows you to visualize how your profile looks before saving.

To save or revert your edits:

  1. When any field is modified, a sliding settings bar pops up at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click Save Changes in the sliding bar to apply the modifications.
  3. Click Reset to discard all unsaved edits and restore your previous settings.
  4. Changes are reflected on your public profile immediately after saving.

Troubleshooting

”I can’t change my name”

  • Names can only be changed once every day
  • Ensure your name is 2–32 characters
  • Check for invalid characters

”My handle isn’t saving”

Section titled “”My handle isn’t saving””
  • Handles must be 2–15 characters
  • Only lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores are allowed
  • Handles can only be changed once every 30 days

”My profile picture won’t upload”

Section titled “”My profile picture won’t upload””
  • Check file format (JPEG, PNG, or WebP)
  • Ensure file size is under 5 MB
  • Try a different image file
Section titled “”My social links show an error””
  • Ensure URLs start with https://
  • Check that the URL is from the correct platform
  • Remove any extra spaces or characters
