VTC General Settings

The General Settings page is where you configure your VTC’s core identity and public presence.

  1. Navigate to your VTC’s management panel
  2. Select General Settings from the sidebar
  3. You’ll see sections for Identity, Requirements, Social Links, and Discord Server

  • Your VTC’s display name visible throughout the platform
  • Required field
  • Changes affect how your VTC appears in directories and profiles
  • Unique identifier for your VTC’s URL: trucklinemp.com/vtc/@yourhandle
  • Maximum 15 characters
  • Only lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores allowed
  • Displayed with an @ prefix in the interface
  • Changes your VTC’s permanent URL
  • Short tagline displayed on your VTC profile
  • Maximum 60 characters
  • Appears below your VTC name on the profile header
  • Rich text description of your VTC (supports Markdown)
  • Maximum 5,000 characters
  • Required field
  • Displayed on your VTC’s public profile
  • Use this to tell your VTC’s story, mission, and what makes you unique
  • Your VTC’s rules and guidelines (supports Markdown)
  • Required field
  • Visible to members and applicants
  • Keep these clear and comprehensive
  • Profile picture URL for your VTC
  • Must be a valid HTTPS URL
  • Displayed in directories, profiles, and news feeds
  • Recommended: Square image, at least 256x256px
  • Cover banner URL for your VTC profile
  • Must be a valid HTTPS URL
  • Displayed at the top of your VTC’s profile page
  • Recommended: Wide image, at least 1920x400px

Configure who can join your VTC and how recruitment works.

  • Set the minimum age (in days) for a TrucklineMP account to apply
  • Helps filter out brand new accounts
  • Set to 0 to allow any account age
  • Set the minimum playtime (in hours) required to apply
  • Ensures applicants have experience with the game
  • Set to 0 to allow any playtime
  • Your VTC’s primary language
  • Options: English, German, French, Spanish, Polish
  • Displayed on your VTC profile
  • Helps users find VTCs that match their language
  • Toggle to enable or disable recruitment
  • When enabled, your VTC shows as “Hiring” in directories
  • When disabled, your VTC shows as “Closed”
  • Does not affect current members

Add links to your VTC’s online presence. All URLs must be valid https:// links.

  • Link to your VTC’s Discord server
  • Use a permanent invite link if possible
  • Displayed on your VTC profile
  • Your VTC’s official website
  • Displayed on your VTC profile
  • Must be a valid HTTPS URL
  • Contact email for your VTC
  • Displayed publicly on your profile
  • Must be a valid email address
  • Link to your VTC’s Instagram profile
  • Must be a valid HTTPS URL
  • Link to your VTC’s Twitter or X profile
  • Must be a valid HTTPS URL
  • Link to your VTC’s Facebook page
  • Must be a valid HTTPS URL

  • Click Save Configuration at the bottom right to apply changes
  • A floating save button appears as you scroll
  • Changes take effect immediately
  • You’ll see a success toast notification when saved

  • Fill out all fields for a professional appearance
  • Use high-quality images for logo and banner
  • Write a compelling description that tells your story
  • Keep rules clear and comprehensive
  • Use permanent links where possible
  • Test all links after saving
  • Use HTTPS URLs only
  • Set reasonable requirements to filter applicants
  • Keep recruitment open when actively looking for members
  • Update language to match your community

  • Ensure all required fields are filled (name, description, rules)
  • Check that all URLs are valid HTTPS links
  • Verify email format is correct
  • Ensure URLs are publicly accessible
  • Use direct image links (not page links)
  • Check that URLs start with https://
  • Handles can be changed in General Settings
  • This changes your VTC’s URL
  • Old URLs will not redirect
