What uses your timezone
Section titled “What uses your timezone”| Feature | Effect |
|---|---|
| Events | Start and end times shown in your local offset |
| Notifications | Timestamps in the bell popover |
| Profile activity | Localized display where supported |
| Forum | Datetime rendering when forum uses your account preference |
Some VTC tools (such as announcement quiet hours) use a timezone configured on the webhook, not your personal setting. See VTC Announcements.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- Pick the timezone where you actually schedule events, not necessarily your physical location if you lead convoys in another region
- Update your timezone when you move or change your primary play schedule
- Event creators should still enter accurate UTC-backed times in the event editor; viewers see converted local times
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Times look wrong by one hour
Section titled “Times look wrong by one hour”Daylight saving changes are handled by IANA zones. Re-select your timezone if you recently traveled.
