Disbanding a VTC

Disbanding permanently removes your VTC from TrucklineMP. Only the VTC owner can disband. This action cannot be undone.

Before you disband

Consider alternatives:

  • Transfer ownership to a trusted member (Member Management)
  • Set visibility to private and close recruitment (Visibility)
  • Pause operations but keep the VTC for a future return

Disbanding is appropriate when the company is shutting down for good.

How to disband

  1. Open your VTC Manage panel
  2. Go to General Settings (/vtc/@handle/manage/settings)
  3. Scroll to the danger zone
  4. Choose Delete VTC
  5. Confirm when prompted (you will need to type the VTC name)

Only the owner sees this option.

What happens

When a VTC is disbanded:

  • The VTC profile and manage panel are removed
  • All members lose their membership in this VTC
  • VTC news, events, and recruitment data tied to the VTC are removed or archived per platform policy
  • Discord server verification for this VTC is revoked
  • Active invite links stop working
  • The handle may become available for reuse after a cooling period (not guaranteed)

Members are not deleted from TrucklineMP. They simply no longer belong to the disbanded VTC.

Discord and announcements

If you linked a Discord server:

  • /vtc and /verify-server will report the server as unlinked
  • Announcement webhooks stop firing for this VTC
  • Unlink manually in Discord if you want a clean break before disbanding

Staff disbandment

Platform staff can disband VTCs that violate rules. Staff actions are logged separately. If your VTC was removed by staff, contact Support with questions.
